Farm News
We’re looking forward to celebrating the harvest at two CSA celebrations, one east and one west. On Sat Nov 19 from 7pm-midnight (!) we invite all our CSA members, friends and family (and anyone from anyplace else who wants to make the trip) to join us at the farm in our processing barn/dance hall, for an end of season “We Did It” celebration. Email farmer@gardenofevefarm.com with questions and to RSVP (no charge).
On Sat Nov 12 from 7-9 pm, there will be a CSA potluck harvest dinner at Greenpoint’s Church of the Messiah, 129 Russell St; southside of McGolrick Park. RSVP to williamsburgcsa@gmail.com. We won’t be in attendance personally (unfortunately) this year, but this is always a great event, and chance to meet other CSA members.

The 2011 CSA season, sadly, is coming to a close. So join us for a potluck dinner! Meet and mingle with your fellow CSA'ers over drinks -- bring a dish and sample what is sure to be an inspired spread of fall foods.
We'll vote on the "Best Use of Seasonal Fruits/Vegetables in a Potluck Dish" in both sweet and savory categories. Praise will be lauded and the winning recipe will go out in the next newsletter!
Please be creative and bring a seasonal potluck dish to share.
Friends, family, and children welcome!
WHAT TO BRING:
1. A creative harvest-inspired dish – appetizer, main AND/OR dessert.
The rule of thumb when it comes to potlucks is to bring enough to feed your own group.
Likewise, please bring something to drink – wine, cider, etc.
Don't forget the serving utensils!
2. Recipe - bring your recipe so your fellow CSA's can replicate the yummy dishes at home. The winning potluck recipe will be shared on our newsletter.
3. Curiosity about how the CSA works – this is your chance to meet your farmers, the farm interns and family, other CSA members, and the CSA “Core Group” (the volunteer group that helps administrate the CSA.)If you'd like to volunteer to help out with this event or if you have any questions, please email: williamsburgcsa@gmail.com
