Bands wanted for a fundraising concert
FOR A
FUNDRAISING
CONCERT SHOWCASE
The Greenpoint-Williamsburg CSA is looking for environmentally- conscious local bands to donate their talents to a fundraising concert showcase. The proceeds of the event will benefit the GWCSA's low- income fund.
Though the details are not finalized as they are dependant on the selected bands, the showcase will be held at Union Pool the afternoon/evening of Saturday, June 19 OR Sunday, June 20.
We are hoping to find bands that are members of the GWCSA (or another CSA,) are local to Greenpoint-Williamsburg, or have an interest in sustainable eating or a green lifestyle... any/all of the above!
The event will be heavily promoted in print and online media as well as through the GWCSA's own 625+ plus mailing list.
The Greenpoint-Williamsburg CSA's Low Income Fund provides subsidized farm shares to local low-income households, funds a revolving loan program for CSA members, partners with other neighborhood orgs to supply straight-from-the-farm veggies for healthy eating projects, sends quality produce to local soup kitchens, etc.
If you are interested in donating an approximately 30-minute set to this showcase or know a band that would be a good fit, please send an email titled "CONCERT" to williamsburgcsa@gmail.com
Don't hesitate to be in touch if you'd like to get involved with this event in any way - any info or contacts are helpful as this is our first big fundraising effort.
Thanks for helping support the CSA's Low Income Fund with this exciting event!
